ACHILD Kenya is led by a multidisciplinary team and governing board whose expertise spans public health, education, monitoring and evaluation, community development, clinical medicine, and financial management. Our leaders are practitioners rooted in the communities they serve, bringing decades of combined experience to the mission of improving child and family wellbeing across Kenya.
Secretariat
The ACHILD Kenya Secretariat manages the day-to-day operations of the organization, ensuring that Board strategies are translated into effective program delivery across all operating counties. The secretariat includes program, finance, monitoring and evaluation, and administrative staff who work directly with communities, county governments, and partners to deliver ACHILD's mandate.

Eugene Wanambisi
Chief Executive Officer
Eugene Wanambisi is the Chief Finance Officer at ACHILD Kenya, responsible for financial planning, reporting, and resource mobilization. He plays a key role in budget development, financial management, and leading fundraising efforts for the organization’s programs. Eugene holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) from the University of Nairobi and is a Level III candidate in the CFA Program. He has also completed training in Financial Modeling and Valuation Analysis from Corporate Finance Institute (CFI), bringing strong analytical and financial expertise to the organization.

Douglas Ondieki
Executive Director
Douglas Ondieki is the Executive Director of ACHILD Kenya, where he provides strategic leadership, oversees program implementation, and builds partnerships to advance the organization’s mission. He holds a Master’s degree in Educational Planning and Administration and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Monitoring and Evaluation at the University of Nairobi. He also holds certificates in Project Management, Monitoring and Evaluation, and Global Health Economics from Washington State University. A Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) alumnus, Douglas has over 10 years of experience in education, policy, and child advocacy, driving impactful community-based initiatives.

Daniel Momanyi
Environment project Officer
Daniel Momanyi serves as the Project Officer for Environment at ACHILD Kenya, bringing over four decades of specialized expertise in agroforestry and climate resilience to the organization. His distinguished career includes foundational work with the Kenya Wood Fuel project (1985–1988) and twelve years as a Conservation Specialist at CARE Kenya (1990–2002), followed by a long tenure as a Project Officer with VI Agroforestry (2004–2022). Throughout these roles, Daniel has been a lead advocate for sustainable farming and forest restoration, notably contributing to vital restoration efforts in the Mau Forest. He has dedicated his professional life to guiding small-scale farmers in climate change adaptation and building community resilience. At ACHILD, he leverages this deep technical background to lead reforestation and conservation initiatives that empower local communities and promote environmental stewardship.

Wycliff Ochieng
Monitoring and Evaluation Manager
Wycliff Ochieng is a seasoned M&E professional with seven years of experience driving impactful projects across East Africa. His expertise spans institutional strengthening, strategic planning, and performance management. As the MEL lead, Wycliff transforms raw data into actionable insights, overseeing routine monitoring, evidence generation, and rigorous quality assurance. He is dedicated to ensuring that every project is backed by solid evidence and clear reporting. Blending technical precision with a passion for sustainable development, Wycliff ensures our programs not only meet their targets but truly empower the communities we serve.

Sharon Jeruto Kimaiyo
Education Program Manager
Sharon Jeruto KimaiyoSharon serves as the Education Programme manager at ACHILD, bringing a distinguished background in teacher training and curriculum development to the team. She holds a Master of Education in Early Childhood Education from Kisii University. Her professional journey spans from hands-on teaching at the preparatory level to lecturing at the university level and managing complex educational programs. Sharon’s technical expertise is recognized nationally through her work as a panelist for the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development, where she evaluates pre-primary curriculum designs and support materials. At ACHILD, she leverages this deep knowledge and her grassroots experience to oversee impactful learning initiatives and strengthen educational standards across the region.

Nancy Moraa Nyang’au
Human Resource Manager
Nancy Moraa Nyang’au serves as the HR manager at ACHILD, bringing over seven years of comprehensive experience in human resource management and organizational development. A dedicated and detail-oriented professional, she has a proven track record of enhancing operational efficiency in previous roles. Her expertise encompasses talent acquisition, performance management, and the implementation of robust HR policies that foster a positive workplace culture. With a strong foundation in labor law compliance and employee engagement, Nancy is committed to driving performance improvements and supporting the organization’s mission through strategic people management.
