- About ACHILD Kenya
Founded in Kenya. Rooted in Community.
Our founders and staff were born and raised in the communities we serve. This is a relationship built and grown among our beneficiaries. Over six years, we have built deep trust, established strong local partnerships, and developed an intimate understanding of the cultural, social, and economic realities that shape children’s lives in rural Kenya. We are currently implementing programs in Kisii, Nyamira, Migori, and Bomet counties in the South Nyanza region, with ambitious plans to expand our reach under our 2026 to 2030 Strategic Plan.
We operate across education, health, nutrition, and environmental sustainability because these challenges do not exist in isolation. We understand that a child’s ability to learn is shaped by whether they are well-nourished. We also believe that a mother’s ability to deliver safely depends on whether a Community Health Promoter reached her during pregnancy. We recognize that a community’s resilience depends on whether its children understand and care for their environment. Therefore, our integrated approach addresses these realities together.
