Aware of the climatic change and global warming challenges facing the planet, and that children are the most adversely affected, we seek to actively enjoin children in conserving the environment. Our approach is through creating awareness and training children in environmental conservation, sustainable use of resources and regreening of the environment. We believe that children are significant change agents because they are adversely affected by even small environmental changes. Since the environment will serve them longer in their lives, they have an important role in protecting and conserving it.
One-child-two-trees project
Under this project, our objective is to regreen the environment through increasing tree cover at school and within the communities. We engage children in planting trees within their schools and communities. Every child receives two seedlings, one is planted at school and the other at home. The child is trained and supported on how to care and nurture the trees until they mature. Through this project we have been able to plant over 22,600 seedlings.
